When I first saw these red pants, I knew EXACTLY what I could pair them with! As I mentioned in an earlier post, I've started watching Mad Men this summer, so this outfit is an inspiration from Betty Draper, played by January Jones. It's a modern and everyday look inspired by the equestrian attire that Betty wears so well during her riding lessons.
When wearing a statement piece (such as the red pants) it's important to keep the rest of your outfit as simple as possible. Muted colors such as black, white, tan and grey are perfect color options to wear with a statement piece. They'll still keep your outfit sharp, but at the same time, they won't be stealing the spotlight away from your statement piece ;-)
